Chartley Society
1. Membership OverviewMembers (Free Tier):
  • Members receive general updates from Chartley Books and occasional invitations to access advance reading copies (ARCs) of forthcoming titles.
  • ARC availability for Members is not guaranteed and may be limited due to demand or distribution constraints.
Fellows (£10/year):
  • Fellows are paying supporters of the Chartley Society and receive priority access to at least three advance reading copies per membership year.
  • Fellows may also receive exclusive content, early previews, and access to reader panels or editorial features.
  • Fellowship is valid for one calendar year from the date of purchase and is non-refundable.

2. Advance Reading Copies (ARCs)
  • ARCs are distributed digitally or physically at the discretion of Chartley Books.
  • By accepting an ARC, you agree to read it within a reasonable timeframe (generally 1-2 weeks) and share an honest review on Amazon unless otherwise stated. This helps support the launch and ensures your review is timely and relevant.
  • Reviews must be your own, genuine opinion.
  • Access to future ARCs may be prioritised based on your history of timely and thoughtful reviews.
  • Participation in the ARC programme is a privilege offered to engaged readers, and we reserve the right to prioritise distribution based on review activity and reliability.

3. Community Conduct
  • All Chartley Society participants are expected to engage respectfully with the content, authors, and fellow readers.
  • Harassment, spamming, or misuse of Society benefits will result in removal from the programme.
  • Chartley Books reserves the right to revoke membership or fellowship status in cases of abuse or breach of these terms.

4. Intellectual Property
  • All books and materials provided to Members and Fellows remain the intellectual property of Chartley Books and its authors.
  • Sharing, reproducing, or distributing advance copies outside of the intended use (e.g., uploading to file-sharing websites) is strictly prohibited.

5. Payment & Renewal (Fellows Only)
